平成２２年１１月２２日から２３日にかけて、本校に留学中のキングス校の生徒２名、タラ女子校の生徒３名と、本校の高校１年生と２年生のあわせて１２名が一緒に土佐清水方面へ「ミニ修学旅行」を行いました。
日本初めての国際人と言われるジョン万次郎のスピリットを知るために、平成２２年１０月３１日に復元されたジョン万次郎生家をはじめ、土佐清水ジョン万次郎くろしお社中、足摺岬などをまわり、本校生徒と留学生の親睦も深まりました。

■私は今回土佐清水に行って、普段は学年やクラスが違う留学生と話せて楽しかったです。
バスの中で旅館に行くとき、お風呂の話をしていて、みんなで一緒に入ろうということを言ったら、すごくびっくりして「水着を着てもいい？」とか「オーストラリアでは絶対何か着る」と言って、ずっと一緒に入らないと言っていました。
でも実際お風呂に連れて行くと、気に入っていて、特に露天風呂にずっといました。お風呂の中でもいろんな話をして気付いたら１時間くらい一緒に入っていました。（高２女子）
■留学生とのコミュニケーションは上手くできました。でもやっぱり留学生同士の会話は早くて聞き取ることができません。
話すスピードが速いし、オーストラリアでこういう若者言葉とか使っているのかなと思って聞いていました。将来は会話もわかるくらい英語が使えるようになりたいです。
ジョン万次郎や龍馬のように世界を舞台にして活躍していきたいです。（高２女子）
■留学生と学ぶ高知ツアーin
土佐清水に参加して、知っているようで知らなかったジョン万次郎について学べたのでよかったです。
留学生とより仲を深められた事が一番良かったです。英語で会話をするのはなかなか大変で、伝わらない事とかもあってもっと英語を勉強したいと強く思いました。
ジョン万次郎の誕生地に行った時に、石碑に書いてある説明を先輩がすべて英語で説明していたのを見て、自分は本当にまだまだでもっと語彙力も身につけてスムーズに説明できるくらいになりたいと思いました。
高２の先輩と仲良くなれた事も良かったです。先輩はみんな留学生に積極的に英語で話しかけたりしていてとても尊敬しました。留学生や先輩と交流することで良い刺激を受けたと思います。（高１女子）
■The trip to Tosashimizu was an amazing experience for me. From
the food, to the new friendships to the onsen, I don’t think
that I will ever forget it. Although it was a very very VERY
long bus trip, it was very much worth it. As soon as we arrived,
we had dinner- a seafood BBQ, which was just absolutely
delicious! I honestly felt like my skirt was about to pop
because of how much I had eaten. Afterwards, Alex and I deeply
contemplated whether or not to go into the onsen, as it was a
whole new concept for us. In the end, however, we felt that it
would be a part of our experience as exchange students in Japan,
and we went in. Quite possibly, we will never regret making the
decision, as the view of the ocean was breathtaking and it was
so relaxing. （留学生・女子）
■The John Manjiro tour was pretty interesting. I guess he was
pretty important to Japan and I think I didn't realize this
until I saw how many monuments/museums etc dedicated to him. It
was pretty interesting that we could visit those places. The
museum was interesting, however, we couldn’t' understand the
specifics of it. However, it was great just to have a look
around with an overall great atmosphere.
The festival afterwards was also a lot of fun and a good chance
to eat Japanese ‘street food’. It was also as good chance to buy
random things and also see the shrine and the traditional
Japanese dancing that was displayed there. It was a great
environment and I’m sure everyone enjoyed themselves.（留学生・女子）
■The trip to Tosashimizu I thought was a very unique and
traditional Japanese experience which I really enjoyed and it
will be one of the highlights of my exchange. The food which we
got to eat was amazing and it was fun to try traditional
Japanese food with our new Japanese friends. The traditional
Onsen was also a new and interesting experience for me and I
feel very lucky to have gone to an Onsen with such an amazing
view with such a good reputation. The hotel rooms were very nice
and I enjoyed how they were very traditional, although I found
sleeping on a futon uncomfortable. However I enjoyed the
opportunity to do things I could not experience elsewhere.
